  • Little Tibet is right in the middle of Thamel, on the second floor. You have to look up to find it. I tried the buckwheat soup, crispy kamchan fried buckwheat, and juicy da pao pork dumplings. The food was delicious, the place cozy, and the staff friendly but we have to call their attention. One was buried on her phone. Nevertheless, it’s a great spot for authentic Tibetan flavors!

  • Absolutely come here, and make sure you do not miss the Tongba (special Tibetan drink - see pic) whatever you do!

  • If you are looking to try authentic Tibetan food in Thamel, Little Tibet Restaurant is the perfect place. The menu offers a good selection of traditional Tibetan dishes, giving you a true taste of the cuisine. The service is decent and adds to a comfortable dining experience. However, the prices are on the higher side compared to similar places. That said, if you are seeking genuine Tibetan flavors in a cozy setting, it is worth a visit.

  • I had Gyuma, Vegterian Mok-Tuk, Mustang Aloo Fry and Butterscotch ice cream for lunch in terrace. I am stuffed and can’t eat anymore. It cost 1,330ruphia. The female staff is very courteous and friendly. Ambience of Tibet restaurant is great and exotic. The value for food is normal. But I can say “lt’s on me.” 1, Gyuma is Pan Fried Tibetan Style Sausages with Buff filling. It is similar to Sundae of Korea. The smell should have been removed absolutely. It is kind of Tibet specialty. 2. Mok-Tuk is Dumpling cooked in soup broth (broth : soup consisting of meat or vegetables cooked in stock) 3. Mustang Aloo Fry is Deep dried potato slice served with a tomato sauce. It is spiced french fries made with local spices in mustang region in Nepal. Mustang is derived from the Tibetan word meaning “Plain of Aspiration”.

  • First time trying Tibetan food and I’m so sad that I’m only trying it now at this old age of mine! My favourite was the Gyuma and Shaphalay they were 10/10, I know for a fact that anyone who tries it will be in love with them as well. I loved that the tomatoes chutney was spicy and tangy as well. The keema noodles were very delicious as well, just be careful of the chilli oil that comes with it so so so spicy! I can’t wait to come back again:)

  • We had a delicious lunch here sat on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the street. The staff were great and the restaurant itself is really homely. The momo soup was delicious!
